The President’s Message

It is my pleasure to bring greetings on behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Alpha Beta Phi Omega Chapter members, serving the communities of Grand Prairie, Irving, Mansfield, and Midlothian, Texas.

Alpha Beta Phi Omega Chapter was chartered on August 14, 2022, making it the first graduate chapter chartered under the 31st International President & CEO, Danette Anthony Reed. Since chartering, the Alpha Beta Phi Omega Chapter has served the local community by implementing award-winning community service and events, thus enriching our heritage and leadership.

Our membership represents many professional women of high academic achievement, diverse occupations, skills, interests, generations, and backgrounds. Our mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind.”

Since 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® has been at the forefront of service and leadership. Under the guidance of our International President & CEO, Danette Anthony Reed, our program platform “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” continues this legacy with an emphasis on:

It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as the Chartering President of an esteemed group of women within this illustrious organization. Our sisterhood is warm and inviting and is the cornerstone of who we are. Our members are dedicated with a skill set of unique talents that enable us to deliver outstanding service. Initiatives

Service and sisterhood have been the cornerstone of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® since 1908. With the theme Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, the 2022-2026 administration seeks to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood of more than 120,000 active members to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.
